The representative of Iran's supreme spiritual leader Ali Khamenei in the Ardebil region Sayyid Hasan Amili has expressed his support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, making a statement about the necessity for an early return of the occupied lands.
Amili stressed that Iranians are ready to fight for Karabakh. "This is a part of the Islamic world which should be returned to Azerbaijan. According to the supreme spiritual leader of Iran, Karabakh is an Islamic region, and those who were killed during military actions are considered to be martyrs,'' APA cites him as saying.
