Tehran still hopes for an immediate withdrawal of sanctions in the case of reaching an agreement with the P5+1, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said.
"All economic, financial and banking sanctions implemented either by the United Nations Security Council, the United States Congress or the administration must be lifted immediately when the deal is signed," the Iranian leader posted on his Twitter page.
In his opinion, "the rest of the sanctions must be lifted in rational intervals."
He accused the US of trying to completely eliminate Iran's nuclear program. "Reviewing the trend of US demands, anyone would conclude that the US seeks to dismantle our nuclear industry and identity," Interfax cited the Iranian leader as saying.
Khamenei said he supports a fair deal over Tehran’s nuclear program that will serve the country’s national interests.
