A monument to khychin, the famous Balkarian national dish, is to appear in Kabardino-Balkaria in the near future, local mass media reports.
The initiator of the idea was journalist Ahuzat Mishaeva. She explained that not so many people know the meaning of the sacred dish. In fact, khychin is closely related to tengri, the cult of the sky. The main symbol is the solar circle. Khychin is more than 5,000 years and it is confirmed by many archaeological documents, STRBC Stavropol reports.
