The Kiev District Court of Simferopol has decided in absentia to arrest the former leader of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatars, the Ukrainian politician Mustafa Dzhemilev, his lawyer Jamil Temishev stated.
"The investigator and the prosecutor, while justifying their application, said that a criminal case under three articles of the Criminal Code was initiated against Mustafa Cemil, he is hiding from the investigation and trial, could put pressure on witnesses, destroy evidence, does not have permanent place of residence in the territory of Crimea," RIA Novosti cites his post on his Facebook page.
