The largest brandy producer in Dagestan, the Kizlyar Brandy Factory, will modernize production and implement the project of planting its own vineyards, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Finance said on Saturday.
Deputy head of department Alexei Sazanov paid a working visit to Dagestan. Based on the results of the meetings, an appropriate decision was made.
"Alexey Sazanov noted that the current key strategic goal of the plant is the modernization and further development of full-cycle production", the report says.
The department further noted that in order to achieve the goal this year, it is necessary to reconstruct the grape processing shop with the subsequent placement of new equipment. "It is also planned to launch a project for planting vineyards, which will allow the plant to switch to using its own raw materials in the future", TASS reports.
Sazanov also stressed that the state has paid special attention to the development of domestic alcohol production in recent years.
