Attorneys of Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan have appealed to the Court of Cassation over the Criminal Court of Appeal's decision on remanding him in custody.
According to Kocharyan's legal defense team, the Criminal Court of Appeal ruling’s apparent contradiction with the positions expressed in the previous decisions by the Court of Cassation, the fundamental violation of human rights and freedoms, and the violations of some other rights are at the basis of this appeal.
Kocharyan’s attorneys plan to file a motion with the court that he be released from custody on bail, News.am reported.
