Governor of Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratev, speaking at the international architectural and construction exhibition YugBuild, which is being held in Krasnodar, has criticized the region's architects for the facelessness of buildings designed by them.
"Unfortunately, most of the buildings built in the last 15-20 years are faceless gray boxes of glass and concrete. We have learned to create the same buildings and have forgotten how to create architecture. The region needs business cards – more memorable objects, exclusive landscape decisions, we need unusual buildings, which would be of interest to tourists," Interfax quotes him as saying.
