The chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Konstantin Kosachev, said today in response to the words of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on the need for a new summit between Russia and the alliance, that Russia is ready to resume contacts, but only on equal terms. The problem is that the West "has been making ardent monologues instead of dialogue for a long time."
"So the key issue is the readiness of our counterparts for a fully-fledged dialogue, or whether they want to express unilateral claims once again. As for the first point, we are ready here and now. As for the second one, it is better to wait," Tass cites him as saying.
