Today the chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Konstantin Kosachev proposed resuming international talks on the North Korea issue, emphasizing that there was no military solution.
‘‘We should act in this situation only through the resumption of multilateral negotiations within the framework of the six mediators and bilateral talks between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the United States (if it is possible). Historically, issues regarding the Korean Peninsula and specifically the continuing problems of North Korea have no military solutions by definition,’’ the senator wrote on Facebook.
