At the beginning of next year helicopter pilots of the Southern Military District (SMD) army aviation airbase, located in Krasnodar Territory, is to receive about 20 Ka-52 Alligator combat helicopters.
"The Ka-52 Alligator is a modification of the Ka-50 (Black Shark) attack helicopter for the detection and recognition of different objects, moving and stationary ground targets, destroying armored vehicles, helicopters and low-flying low-speed aircrafts,'' UGA cites the press service of the Southern Military District.
