At the Krasnodar hippodrome, the competitions were held today for the Cup of the Governor of the Territory, the press service of the Administration of the Krasnodar Territory reports.
In the race for the Governor’s Cup at a distance of 2400 m, 12 pure-bred horses of three years and older, born in the Krasnodar Territory and Adygea, participated. The prize fund of the contest was 3 million rubles. The first became the four-year-old red stallion Vistmus of the Voskhod stud farm (jockey Valery Palnikov, trainer Anatoly Golovin). Last year's winner - the bay stallion Prince Yusupov of the Timerkhan Sports Club (jockey Khamzat Ulubaev, coach Andrei Lyakhov) - finished second, AiF-South reports.
