Kremlin Property Management Department spokesman Viktor Khrekov has passed away at the age of 61, Govorit Moskva Radio General Director, Vladimir Mamontov, said.
Victor Khrekov was born in 1954. He was a graduate of the Institute of Asia and Africa (IAAS). He worked as an editor-translator, reporter and head of the TASS department in Hanoi in 1976-1983. From 1985 to 1992 he was the head of the TASS news agency in Paris.
From 1999 he worked as the Kremlin Property Management Department spokesman.
