Kremlin: Putin-Erdogan phone call not being planned thus far

Russian President Vladimir Putin is currently not planning a telephone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, but the previous record shows that, if necessary, such contacts can be arranged quickly enough, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"It's not on the president's schedule for now, but on the other hand, conversations with Erdogan get planned quite quickly if necessary. There is no such final agreement at the moment," Peskov told journalists, when asked whether a telephone call between Putin and Erdogan was being planned. Earlier reports said Erdogan wished to discuss exports of Ukrainian grain among other matters with Putin.

"It should also be mentioned here that there have been no signals from the Ukrainian side as to what it wants to export and how, and whether it wants to export anything at all," he said.
