Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia and Israel have a regular and intensive dialogue, regularly exchange opinions.
The spokesman recalled that Russia's position is very consistent, it has been repeatedly expressed by President Vladimir Putin: Russia condemns all manifestations of terrorism.
He added that Russia supported "a ceasefire as soon as possible" and efforts to secure peace and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
"All hostages must be released urgently, immediately. That is our firm position. We certainly call on Hamas to make sure that all hostages are released," Dmitry Peskov said.
