The hysteria of trying to pin accusations of cybercrime on Russia, which it has nothing to do with, and allegations about Russian hackers meddling in elections throughout the world have morphed into some sort of obsessive phobia, said Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov in response to a recent round of allegations coming from Kiev.
Ukraine’s Cyber Police Chief Sergei Demidyuk accused ‘Russian hackers’ of using malicious phishing materials to steal passwords and personal information of election commissions’ employees in Ukraine.
"No, we know nothing about it," TASS cited Peskov as saying. "We’ve been hearing a torrent of parallel statements from various countries throughout the world. Looks like it is morphing into some kind of mania or phobia," the spokesman added.
