Any contact with US President Donald Trump is valuable and important, but the Russian side never comments on the essence of talks, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.
""Any contact with the president of a country like the United States is important and valuable, but we never comment on the content of negotiations," Ushakov said when asked how important for Moscow information voiced by Trump during talks with Lavrov was.
The comment came after the Washington Post reported that Trump told Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Ambassador to the United States Sergei Kislyak information about a terror threat involving laptops on airplanes. The information reportedly came from a US partner through an intelligence-sharing agreement.
Trump, in turn, said that he had every right to share information on terrorism and the safety of flights with Russian officials.
