Kremlin: de-dollarization is very lengthy and scrupulous process

De-dollarization of the Russian economy is a length process, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The spokesman stressed that Russian president Vladimir Putin was a longstanding supporter of the idea but warned that the process would be "very lengthy and scrupulous," FT reported.

Russia's VTB Bank President Andrey Kostin also said that Putin "generally" supported a plan he announced last month that would wean Russia off the dollar.
