Kremlin: investigation into alleged interference by Moscow in U.S. elections is headache for U.S.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Washington's investigation into alleged interference by Moscow in the 2016 US election was not Russia's problem, after President Donald Trump sacked Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

"This investigation is a headache for our American colleagues, it has nothing to do with us," Peskov told journalists when asked if Session's firing would influence the probe by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

"So far, the result of this commission’s work does not hold water. We haven’t heard any other conclusions of this commission. We are not linked to this and don’t want to be related to this," TASS cited the spokesman as saying.
