The Kremlin does not have any information confirming the death of the Uzbek President Islam Karimov, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Earlier in the day, some media outlets reported that Karimov died, just two days after he had been hospitalized following a stroke.
"We do not have any confirmation of this information," Sputnik cited Peskov as saying.
The reports of Karimov's death were previously dismissed by a source in the Uzbek Presidential Office.
