Kremlin: there is no energy monopoly in Europe

Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that he wants to ruin Russia’s energy monopoly in Europe.

Peskov said that the issues of international energy cooperation should not be solved politically, but needs to be regulated by the market.

"All these issues must be solved by the market. They are not to be treated in political terms," the Prime news agency cited him as saying.

Peskov added that there is no energy monopoly in Europe, but there are various market players.
