After the modernization of the Afipsky Oil Refinery in Kuban, the EURO-5 standard fuel will be produced there. It is planned that the plant will be modernized by the end of next year.
"Today, we sign our agreements on its modernization. The plant will be the first in the region to begin producing fuel of the EURO-5 standard, which is in demand in the domestic and foreign markets. Moreover, production volumes will be significant. There will be produced 2.5 million tons per year. Increasing the production of products with high added value is one of our strategic goals in the economy",
Administration of the Krasnodar Territory said.
It should be noted that the modernization of the Afipsky Oil Refinery has a number of important reasons:
- Firstly, the transition to the production of EURO-5 fuel will significantly reduce emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
- Secondly, the use of more modern fuel production technologies will improve its quality, which will ultimately lead to improved engine performance and reduced emissions of harmful substances during combustion.
- Thirdly, the production of EURO-5 fuel will allow the plant to improve its competitiveness in the market, which will expand export production opportunities and allow the plant to strengthen its position as a reliable supplier of high-quality fuel.
