Russian athlete Besik Kudukhov, who died on December 29, 2013, will lose his silver medal from the London Games. This is a result of the samples from those games being retested and the samples testing positive for a banned substance.
"The samples of Besik Kudukhov have tested positive for banned substances. Kudukhov failed a dope test in re-tests of samples collected during the London Games. With Kudukhov testing positive, Yogeshwar Dutt of India will get the silver," sources in United World Wrestling (UWW) said.
"Don’t know whether to feel happy or sad about this news. Now I’ve been told my medal will become silver. It doesn’t change much for me, but I dedicate this medal to my country as well," Yogeshwar Dutt said.
