Kyrgyzstan tightens veterinary control at border with Kazakhstan

Kyrgyzstan tightens veterinary control at the border with Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic reported on Friday.

Because of outbreak of anthrax in Kazakhstan, the State Inspectorate for veterinary and phytosanitary safety under the Government of Kyrgyzstan tightened veterinary control at the state border with Kazakhstan over the import of livestock products into the territory of Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry said, Kabar news agency reports.

At the same time, the Kyrgyz side notified the Kazakh side and the Eurasian Economic Commission on the need to take measures to prevent the entry into the territory of the EEU member states the infected products.
