During the day, a fire broke out at one of the factories in the Krasnodar region. Shortly after it was extinguished, a landfill in the Kopan farm caught fire. An intense heatwave in the Russian south is causing fires all Saturday.
This Saturday, major fires occurred not only in Adygea and Stavropol, but also in Krasnodar. So, in the Kuban capital, a plant in Maysky Proezd caught fire during the day.
90 firefighters with 37 units of equipment along with a special fire train were immediately dispatched to extinguish the fire. As a result, the maximum fire area was only 0.15 hectares.
By evening, the fire was localized and successfully extinguished, the Kuban Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation informs.
However, almost simultaneously, a landfill in the Kopansky farm caught fire; by the time fire crews arrived, the fire area reached 0.1 hectares.
