A road in the direction of the Georgian-Russian border was opened for passenger cars, the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure Department of Georgia reported.
It is specified that due to black ice the movement of trailers is still impossible.
Yesterday, the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway was closed due to heavy snowfall. Currently, cars can pass only through the avalanche-protected tunnels.
