Lavender festival to be held in Turkey to promote one of regions

The Turkish province of Isparta, located in the country's southwest, will host a lavender festival. It will be held in the Keçiborlu region from July 22 to July 24.

Isparta's governor Aydin Barush noted that the purpose of organizing the festival is to popularize the region.

He reminded that the number of visitors has grown tenfold in just three years. In 2016, 20 thousand people became guests of the festival, and 750 thousand people attended this event in 2019.

The Head of the region stressed that due to the situation with COVID-19, the number of tourists has decreased, but there is hope for the restoration of pre-pandemic indicators now.

"Of course, over the past two years, there has been a certain decline in the number of tourists, which is associated with a pandemic. I hope that in 2022 we will return to the level of 2019", Anadolu agency quoted Barush.
