Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has confirmed during his recent phone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that Turkey respects Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, the Russian top diplomat said.
The Russian minister also said that Moscow has called for a Kurds-Damascus dialogue in order to solve problems on the Syria-Turkey border.
“We contacted both the representatives of the Kurdish side and the representatives of the government (Syria), and confirmed that we are encouraging them to start a dialogue to resolve the problems of this part of Syria, including the problems of ensuring security on the Turkish-Syrian border," Sputnik cited Lavrov as saying.
