Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that it is the United Kingdom's own business whether it wants to remain in the European Union or withdraw.
"This is an internal issue for the British people," Sputnik cited Lavrov as saying.
Earlier, Russian authorities said that Britain's membership in the European Union is an internal matter of the UK and the EU, adding that Russia wants to see the EU united and strong.
