The International Afghanistan Peace Conference aims to solve Afghan problem within framework of the national reconciliation process, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, addressing the opening session of the conference.
According to the diplomat, regional actors and the friendly countries of Afghanistan participating in the conference are hoped to thoroughly help initiate political talks among Afghan groups.
Lavrov noted there are obstacles and inconveniences on the way and the participating politicians are hoped to act on the basis of the interests of the Afghan nation, not their own interests.
The minister added that Afghanistan is one of the goals of the terrorists, in the sense that the terrorist groups are attempting to condone with ISIS (outlawed in Russia) formation with foreign support to turn Afghanistan into a base for an attack on Central Asia, IRNA reported.
Lavrov stressed that Russia will support an integrated Afghanistan in which everyone lives in peace and reconciliation.
