A working meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, Sergey Lavrov, Elmar Mammadyarov and Edward Nalbandian, took place in Moscow on April 28. The talks on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were held on the initiative of the Russian side.
During the meeting, the ministers continued discussing the prospects for the progress of the negotiation process on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict’s settlement. The need to implement the agreements reached at the summits in Austria’s Vienna and Russia’s St. Petersburg held in April and June 2016 was also stressed.
The Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers expressed gratitude to Russia for its efforts in promoting peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The ministers agreed to continue contacts on all the issues discussed.
Following the tripartite talks, the foreign ministers met with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs - the ambassadors of the Russian Federation, the United States and France - as well as the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, during which they exchanged views on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict’s settlement,” the Azerbaijani embassy in Russia said.
