Lavrov: Moscow supports earliest resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict

In a speech by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, which was read out at a meeting in Moscow under the auspices of the United Nations in support of Israeli-Palestinian peace, it was stated that Russia will continue to encourage the resumption of negotiations between Israel and Palestine, especially in the format of the Middle East Quartet (Russia, EU, United States, United Nations).

According to the Russian minister, Moscow has always favored "the speedy achievement of a just Palestinian-Israeli settlement on a generally recognized international legal basis."
