Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that today it is necessary to put aside differences and ambitions, and unite for the sake of defeating Daesh and other extremist groups which have challenged human civilization, without any linkages and pre-conditions.
"This is the main meaning of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin's initiative on the formation of a broad anti-terrorist front," he said in an interview with Algerian newspaper Expression.
According to the Russian Foreign Minister, we can effectively combat terrorism only together, on a solid basis of international law, with the UN playing a central coordinating role, without double standards.
