Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said he will meet with US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo after the July 16 summit of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Helsinki.
"Yesterday Michael Pompeo told me on the phone that his schedule is very tense and we will be unable to meet before the summit," Lavrov said.
"We agreed to choose a date and place right after the meeting of our presidents in Helsinki to find ways for the realizations of goals which will be hopefully set at this summit," TASS cited him as saying.
The minister added that Moscow hopes to discuss all issues clouding bilateral relations at the Russia-US summit in Helsinki.
"I can assure you that preparations at the expert level are underway. We hope for a sincere discussion of all problems clouding our relations with the US," Lavrov concluded.
