Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held talks with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin. The parties discussed humanitarian issues related to the conflict in Ukraine.
"In connection with the concern expressed by Pietro Parolin about the situation in Ukraine, Sergey Lavrov outlined the principled Russian position regarding the causes and goals of the special military operation being carried out in Ukraine," the Russian Foreign Ministry informs.
