Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu held a meeting in Singapore yesterday in order to discuss bilateral and global issues.
"Pressing issues concerning the development of bilateral relations and issues on the global agenda were discussed," Russia's Foreign Ministry said in a statement following the meeting held on the sidelines of the ASEAN events.
Talks between the sides came amid rising tensions between Ankara and Washington in the wake of the United States’ decision to impose sanctions on the Turkish interior and justice ministers, TASS recalls.
