Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on the sidelines of an Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) foreign ministers meeting in Thailand.
The two ministers discussed bilateral relations and regional issues, Daily Sabah reported.
Lavrov is in Thailand on a two-day visit. On July 31, he will take part in the Russia-ASEAN ministerial meeting.
The 52nd ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting, which began on Saturday in Bangkok, runs through Saturday.
