Lavrov and Kerry agree on ceasefire in Syria

The heads of the US and Russian Foreign Ministries, Sergei Lavrov and John Kerry,  agreed today in a phone conversation on a ceasefire regime in Syria.

"Two telephone conversations took place on the evening of February 21st between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, and the US Secretary of State, John Kerry. In the course of the talks, the sides agreed to coordinate ceasefire options in Syria, which will be reported to Presidents Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama,’’ TASS quotes the Russian Foreign Ministry.
