Today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State John Kerry, during which they discussed the need to mobilize collective resistance to militants of the terrorist group Islamic State (IS), the official website of the Foreign Ministry reported.
"The main attention was paid to the need to mobilize collective resistance to ISIS and other terrorist groups during parallel intensification of efforts on establishing talks between the Syrian government and the delegation, which represents a wide spectrum of the Syrian opposition," -gazeta.ru cites the official report.
During the conversation they also discussed other issues of international agenda and bilateral relations.
