Today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State John Kerry, the official website of the Ministry reports.
The two sides expressed their support for the early commencement of inter-Syrian talks in Geneva under the auspices of the UN, and agreed to continue to promote the Syrian settlement through the International Support Group, gazeta.ru reports.
Kerry and Lavrov also discussed the situation in Yemen, agreeing to intensify joint efforts on peaceful settlement in the country.
