Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the US Secretary of State John Kerry will hold talks in Geneva on August 26, the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement.
The will focus on the conflicts in Syria and Ukraine.
US and Russian officials have been meeting in Geneva to agree on military cooperation in the fight against Daesh.
The Russian foreign ministry said the foreign ministers discussed Syria in the telephone conversation, "including the situation around Aleppo where the (Syrian) government forces, with the support of the Russian military, have been carrying a humanitarian operation,” Reuters reports.
