Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem, who will visit Moscow from Thursday to Saturday this week, and the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will discuss the situation in Aleppo, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The talks will be focused on the military-political and humanitarian situation in Syria, a special attention will be paid to the situation in Aleppo, the efforts of Russian and Syrian troops which continue to struggle with terrorists terrorist.
The ministry also noted that Syria is one of Russia's leading partners in the Middle East and North Africa, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the ministry, Russia in its approach to "the Syrian issue" adheres to the principles of the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Syria.
