Yesterday a meeting took place in Vienna between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif, at which the parties discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the format of the SCO and the progress of negotiations on the Iranian nuclear dossier.
"The prospects of cooperation within the SCO, including some aspects of preparations for the forthcoming summit of this organization on July 10 in Ufa," a statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry reads.
The Foreign Ministers also discussed the process of consultations on a comprehensive settlement of the situation around the Iranian nuclear program.
