Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov may meet with his counterpart from the United States John Kerry during the UN General Assembly in New York, the Russian Foreign Ministry does not rule out such a situation.
"I have no doubt that, if the schedules of our ministers will allow, such a meeting will be held. Kerry and Lavrov have held a record number of meetings over the whole history of bilateral relations, I think," Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova said.
She specified that right now she has no information about whether there have been appeals about the organization of a meeting from the United States or not.
