Lavrov: next Astana meeting on Syria planned for mid-February

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, opening talks with his Kazakh counterpart Beibut Atamkulov, said that a new international meeting on Syria in Astana will be held in mid-February.

The Russian top diplomat stressed that Russia appreciates Kazakhstan's efforts in promoting high-level international meetings on Syria.

"Holding another such meeting in Astana is planned for the middle of next month," TASS cited the Russian minister as saying.
