Lavrov states lack of problems from Russian side with grain supplies to world market

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov states lack of problems on behalf of Russia regarding grain supplies to the global market.

"As for the Russian Federation, there are no problems with ensuring a stable grain supply to the world markets," he told a press conference on Wednesday following a visit to Saudi Arabia.

According to him, the main problem is the lack of free exit from Ukrainian ports due to the fact that Ukrainian soldiers had left minefields there.

"Because of these minefields in international waters, its’s been for several weeks now that Russian naval sailors have been declaring humanitarian corridors for the free exit of ships, which remain locked in the ports of Ukraine due to the mine threat and cannot leave them and deliver the relevant goods, cargos to the ports of destination," the minister added.

The Russian Foreign Minister stressed that the West is "shamefully silent" about the sanctions on ships that carry Russian grain.

"They are not accepted in foreign European ports, they are not insured," Lavrov said.

"In general, all the logistics and financial chains that are associated with the supply of grain to world markets, they have come under the sanctions of our Western colleagues," he added.
