Today, legislators of Krasnodar Territory have amended the charter of the region, reducing the size of its legislative assembly by almost a third – from 100 to 70 deputies.
The document, adopted in the 2nd and final reading, envisages a mixed principle of formation of the regional parliament: half – 35 seats – will be taken by deputies elected in single-member districts, and half according to party lists.
The elections to the regional legislative assembly of the 6th convocation will be held in the autumn of next year, Interfax-South reminds.
