Today, the vice president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, visited the Grape and Wine Festival in the village of Meiseri in the Shamakhi region of Azerbaijan, on the territory of the Shirvan Shyablary wine-growing and winery complex.
Leyla Aliyeva visited exhibitions and pavilions opened as part of the festival and met with local winegrowers and winemakers.
The two-day festival aims to promote local production of grapes and wine, increase the export potential of wine products and introduce the history of wine production in Azerbaijan to the general public.
The festival was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Executive Power of the Shamakhi region, the Regional Development Public Association, the State Tourism Agency and the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
