According to the Ministry of Health of Dagestan, the average life expectancy in Dagestan has increased from 74.9 years in 2012 to 75.8 years in 2014. The statistics propel the region to one of the first places in Russia in terms of life expectancy.
Health Minister Zarina Agmadova explained that regular medical examinations of the population allowed the average life expectancy to be increased.
According to RIA Dagestan, the health condition of 1.4 million resinidents of Dagestan was inspected during the last three years, with 90% coverage of target groups in the adult population.
