Lightning strikes plane flying from Turkey to Georgia

A lightning struck Turkey’s AtlasJet plane en route to Tbilisi from Istanbul shortly after take-off, APA reported with reference to Georgian media.

An eyewitness said that 15-20 minutes after takeoff, they noticed a bright light, and then lightning struck the plane.

As there was something wrong with the fight control, pilots drove the plane back to Ataturk Airport.

After a while, the plane again departed and safely reached to Tbilisi.
