In Sochi, from now on, it is prohibited to drive electric scooters and other types of electric vehicles on embankments and beaches. This decision of the city administration is related to the large concentration of tourists in public areas.
The embankments and beaches of Sochi are now inaccessible for those driving electric vehicles, including electric scooters, the city administration informs.
According to the authorities, there are a lot of tourists in Sochi, so traveling by electric vehicle in crowded places can be unsafe. This year, the resort city has already welcomed almost 3.5 mln guests.
At the moment, not only the beaches and embankments in the city are closed to travel on electric scooters. Prohibited areas include parks, squares and other places for pedestrians.
